Statistics Iceland estimates monthly the yearly average operational cost per student in all primary schools that are run by local governments, according to Article 8, Regulation No 1150/2018 on the accreditation of primary schools and the minimum contribution from local governments to such schools. Estimated yearly operational cost per student in primary schools in January to August 2017 is based on average operational cost per student in the year 2015. Estimated yearly operational cost per student in primary schools in September 2017 to September 2018 is based on average operational cost per student in the year 2016. Estimated yearly operational cost per student in primary schools in October 2018 to September 2019 is based on average operational cost per student in the year 2017. Estimated yearly operational cost per student in primary schools in from October 2019 is based on average operational cost per student in the year 2018. Estimated yearly operational cost per student in primary schools in from October 2020 is based on average operational cost per student in the year 2019. Estimated yearly operational cost per student in primary schools in from October 2021 is based on average operational cost per student in the year 2020.
