The forecast is based on official economic statistics, government budget
information and other indicators. The Central Bank of Iceland's QMM
economic model is the main model used by Statistics Iceland to derive the
forecast. Figures for 2022 are published in accordance to Statistics Iceland's
National Accounts. The main focus is on the first three years of the forecasting
period while the latter are extrapolated to long-term averages.
