The newest figures refer to 2004 except for sterilizations that refer to 2003. Figures on mean age at marriage and life expectancy refer to the periods 1971-75,1981-85 and 1991-1995. A nuclear family refers to all couples (married and in a consensual children 15 years and under, single men and women who live with their children 15 years and under as well as those children. This aplies 1975, 1985 and 1995 but as of 1999 children 16 and 17 years old are also included.
