Respondents were asked about chronic conditions and limitations in usual activities. The question on chronic condition is the following: Do you have any long-term condition or health problem. By long-term we mean an illness or health problem that has lasted or is expected to last for six months or longer. 1. Yes. 2. No.
Two questions were used to measure limitations in usual activities. For at least the past six months, have you been limited due to a health problem in activities one can assume most people can do? 1. Yes. 2. No.
If yes, then repsondents were asked: Would you say that these limitations were severe? 1. Yes, severe. No, not severe.
According to Eurostat the year in the table refers to survey year, the year the survey is conducted. Information on income come from the tax records the year before.
