These figures comprise all students in Statistics Iceland's database starting at upper secondary level studying in Icelandic schools. Students are counted and assigned to school level in accordance with ISCED97 (International Standard Classification of Education 1997). Each student is counted once, even if he is studying in more than one school.
The year in the table refers to the first year in the school year. E.g. 2015 refers to the school year 2015-2016.
