Information on the background of pupils is derived from Statistics Iceland's population data. Immigrants are those who were born abroad with both parents having a foreign background. Second generation immigrants are those who were born in Iceland but both parents are immigrants. Pupils who are not assigned to grades by their schools are assigned to grades by age. Five years old pupils (class 0) are not included.
