These data cover all students at tertiary level, including both university and non-university level. Only those students outside Iceland who apply for assistance to the Students Loan Fund are included. Each student is counted once. The data are not always comparable because of changing approachability through the years. E.g. data collection on students in evening courses and distance learning started in 1997.
