Base in December 2021 = 100. The values refer to the month of measurement and compilation. The measurement of the building cost index is carried out on the basis of the Act on Statistics Iceland and official statistics no. 163. from 21 December 2007. The price of inputs used for the construction of an apartment house in the capital area are measured. Prices are without value added tax. The index house that forms the base was applied to the compilation in December 2009. The house has an open-air corridor with 18 apartments each equipped with parking space in a garage which is partly below ground level. In addition there is an asphalted parking space on the roof of the parking garage, from which the building is entered. The house is partly cast-in-place but partly built of precast units. Internal walls are made of plaster. There is an elevator in the house. The house is equipped with an elevator. Landscape is finalized with a flat lawn, shrubs and a children's playing yard.
