The Dublin Regulation is a cooperation based on regulation from the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union (ESB) nr. 604/2013 from 26 June 2013 establishing the criteria and arrangements for determining which Member State is responsible for examining an application for international protection lodged in one of the Member States by a third-country national or a stateless person.Figures on relocation from Iceland to partner countries as a result of the Dublin cooperation are compiled from data from the Directorate of Immigration. Children who are accompanied by guardians are not counted. From 2024 and onwards, figures for accompanied minors will be available due to improvements in registration. This change comes from collaboration between the Directorate of Immigration and Statistics Iceland, which aim to improve the quality and timeliness of the data on outgoing transfers.Outgoing transfers refer to the transfer of international protection applicants to partner countries responsible for the applicants in question.
