Values here come from a sub-table in AEA where emissions from cars and transport vehicles on roads are reported separately. These figures should be compatible with figures on emissions due to road transport in Iceland's national climate accounting (NIR) (Table 1-S1, item A.3.b).
The breakdown of emissions by industry is done based on the vehicle register and inspection records collected from the Transport Agency. Data on the distribution of fuel for road transport from the Norwegian Energy Agency is also considered.
