Table 2.B from the return data for the economy's energy flow accounts summarizes the final consumption of industries by energy type for each year. Clean natural energy does not enter here and is therefore omitted.
Imported energy materials are given a fixed energy density here regardless of origin.
Use here is the final use of materials for energy production or for other purposes (e.g. paving).
The limits of the economy include all operations that take place under Icelandic social security number, no matter where it is located in the world. Foreign entities with operations in the country are not considered within the economy.
The division of the economy is done here according to the pan-European classification system: NACE*64 rev 2 and is the same division as is used in the system of national accounts. This division is the same as the ISAT2008 sectoral division of Statistics Iceland
